The challenge for the Lakeland Habitat for Humanity, a 20 year old Habitat for Humanity affiliate,was to provide single moms and families with decent, affordable housing. Lakeland Habitat for Humanity’s main goal is to work with impoverished residents giving them an opportunity to live in decent housing. Lakeland Habitat for Humanity approached Network Handlers 4 years ago to help bring their brand into the community. The goal was to raise funds via events and various campaigns, solicit donations from businesses to sell in the Lakeland Habitat ReStore and enlist the muscle of volunteers to aid in the overall mission of getting this done.

Network Handlers launched a complete marketing campaign to get the brand out in the community via web, print and billboards. Network Handlers engaged with Lakeland Habitat for Humanity and worked with key board members and vendors building a traditional and website presence to reach the goals of the charity. By targeting a marketing approach using targeted E-mail campaigns, web-based donations, billboards placed aside Lakeland’s busy highways, print ads, and social media marketing Lakeland Habitat finally had a chance to fully see their mission come alive.

By using cutting edge marketing strategies and creating a donor relationship, Lakeland Habitat has seen a dramatic increase in donations and volunteer quantity since 2008. Lakeland Habitat has accepted over 782 online home applications just from the website alone for families in need of housing, 650 registered volunteers, 3,550 individual email Newsletter sign ups and an increase in online donations. We can work together to not only show great statistics but to bring about change in the lives of countless men, women and especially children that have been dramatically and positively impacted.
