Network Handlers is a Search Engine Marketing and Website Development Company in Tampa, FL

On June 3rd, 2009, software giant Microsoft announced the launch of its new search engine which is quite simply named Bing. Incorporating a fresh look and intuitive features, Bing looks to upset the search engine market, which up till now was monopolized by Google Search.
Having its base in Live Search, a previous search offering which failed to make its mark in the market, Bing looks to enhance users’ search experience dramatically. “Bing” is an onomatopoeia, which signifies a sound, associated with arriving at results and decisions.
Even the homepage, www.bing.com, is neat and polished. The first major eye-catcher is that there is a background image which is changed everyday, and it is usually a photo of breathtaking scenery.
Bing claims to use superior keyword sensing algorithms, which means better search engine optimization (SEO) for websites targeted at select end users. This in turn makes internet marketing much easier than with any of the current search engines.
If Google Search made search engines a market, Bing definitely improves it. All features in Bing are aimed at making search faster, not only in the databases, but also from the users’ side. For Example, Bing has something called an “Infinite Scroll Image Search” in which all images are displayed on a single page, so less time is wasted clicking on links that take the users to the next page; it’s all there. Another improvement is the categorization of search results. For example, if someone searches for "Roger Federer", the tennis star’s official website with all other official sites will be grouped together, all news items related to him will be grouped together, and all fan sites will be accordingly grouped. Also, it allows enhanced view inside the search engine. If someone searches for "Website development", it will take them to a page containing all search results, along with previews of what are the contents of various sites in regard to the search topic.
Media searching has also been made more streamlined than earlier versions of the search engine. Video Thumbnail Preview is a new feature. When searching for videos, a small section of the video starts playing when the cursor is hovered over the video thumbnail, enabling users to preview the contents of the video without actually visiting the site. Video search also has new filters for accurate searching such as length, resolution (quality), and sources.
Apart from displaying search results, Bing also aims at becoming the information hub of internet users. Didn’t catch the game last night? Bing displays all sports scores off its own website. Stock market quotes can be displayed on the site by typing in the company’s name or stock symbol. Bing can also work as a dictionary. When ‘what is’ or ‘define’ is typed before a word, Bing will pull the information from the Encarta Dictionary.
With all its new features, Bing aims to upstage Google in search, and it may well be on its way, due to the slew of new features. It may truly be the next generation in search engine technology.
